Support the Ascension Cathedral and East Bay Outreach Programs.
The mission of the Ascension Cathedral Golf Tournament is to raise funds for the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Ascension located at 4700 Lincoln Avenue in Oakland, California. Since 1968, the proceeds from this event have assisted the Cathedral in its expansion. In 2003, the golf committee committed to raising a portion of the required funds during the community-wide effort to build the Parking Pavilion and Chapel.
In addition, a large portion of the funds from the golf tournament go to supporting various outreach programs to the East Bay community. Your support will allowed the Cathedral to grow and expand its Christian mission to her members and to the community at large. Over the years, children and senior citizens in the community have benefited from the generosity of all who support our annual event.
Golf is very much like faith in God; both take a great deal of dedication, patience, love and discipline. I pray that those four great virtues serve you not only on the golf course but throughout your life.
