For over twenty-five years one man has distinguished himself as a Grand Benefactor of the Ascension Cathedral Tournament.
He has served on the Tournament Committee for more than two decades. During that time he, his family and network of friends have donated all of the food, drinks and supplies for the barbecued lamb lunch, the sumptuous hors d’oeuvre table and prime rib dinner.
He truly has been the heart and soul of the Tournament and its inspiration. He is of sterling character and his commitment to providing only the finest provides us with a legacy to cherish always.
As a result, the Parish Council of the Ascension Cathedral, upon the suggestion of the Ascension Golf Committee, does hereby proclaim that henceforth the annual tournament shall be called:
ASCENSION CATHEDRAL TOURNAMENT
